South Carolina Autumn 2017
Polo was said,
Try I must. I couldn’t because of a break. But still I find an interest down deep and so this trip was planned.
Now here upon the stables and grass, The Seahorse took us up on their backs. A ride through these hills, thousands of acres to explore,
An old remembered experience I adore.
Aiken you see, a town in South Carolina, is loved for horses and equestrian life. So you see and so it became an adventure of one dear to my heart. A warm day grew into a warm night.
Polo match, I watched in awe. How brave and I love that the girls play with the boys. I was told not to even get started for it would surely take over my life. But what a life.
I greatly enjoyed the soft and deliberate and decorated with old grace hotel, The Wilcox.
Again I must explore and enjoy these lovely and long short days.
Such a sweet small town, especially in the bloom of Autumn. Tourism at its highest and temperature absolutely pleasing. It’s no wonder this place for generations has held dear to so many.
Onto Charleston, such a special town lovely this time year around. Horses still this time pulling loaded carts with tourists and locals alike learning and re-exploring the deep history here. For such a special southeast bourgeoise aristocratic kind of place, a lovely unique kind of ground, with a special smell of contentment in the air. An island of past and extremely profound indeed, I again in my travels found myself inside of my own motion. Art all over the place galleries sprung upon the town like fireflies, unexpected indeed and wonderful surprise. And then there was the music. We were told there was not much and yet there was such a score. I had such a wonderful time, I found it hard to leave. I will certainly be back for more. South Carolina, I adore thee.
